Snowflake Men won Gold and Judge's Choice Award at Asia Global Design Award. The award was organised by Hong Kong Designers Association where "Global" was added to the title from this year to have more international perspective. Judges from Hong Kong and all over the world gathered to select winners from a wide variety of categories ranging from 2D graphic to architecture. At the end of the ceremony, I was asked to deliver a speech upon receiving Gold, which was a great surprise. I had not prepared anything in English, let alone in Cantonese! But I somehow managed to overcome this situation by combining several simple words I know to make a "speech", well the audience seemed to have enjoyed it at least.
The event was great and most of all, meeting with Mr. Alan Chan, Mr. Tommy Li, both are the most respected and creative design champions in Hong Kong, as well as young talented artists was truly amazing and inspiring.

SAMAVSM is a yoga fashion brand named after the first letters of 7 chakras. The 7 chakras that exist within everyone are expressed in 7-coloured vivid flowers as a symbolic visual of the brand. The flowers are round shaped inspired by the meaning of chakra in Sanskrit - wheel or circle.

A new package for Uji Shimizu by Ippodo, a renowned Japanese tea brand in Kyoto is done! Uji Shimizu is green tea slightly sweetened with granulated sugar. The package was developed around the concept of "changing wardrobe" since this tea can be enjoyed both hot and iced, Visual of a half-naked moustached man is used in summer while the same man in his coat and scarf appears in winter.

I went to the opening ceremony of Tokyo Illustrators Society Public Competition Exhibition #9 yesterday. The exhibition is open from 11 to 23 April. There were many illustration artists from the greatest domestic illustrators to the young, emerging artists. I liked some of the young illustrators' work. Those were inspiring. My work, Snowflake Men/ Groom Run was exhibited but not on the best wall.
